President’s Welcome

winston The new season provides new challenges for Clondalkin RFC, primarily on the rugby pitches. Last season’s building programme and flood lighting has put the club in an excellent position off the pitch but with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams all playing a league lower than last year, we are setting our sights on stepping back up. To achieve this means playing winning rugby and I believe we have the strength, belief and commitment to do so.

We welcome back several players from a season or two where work, college and family meant rugby was not an option. Also, Paul McDermott after several years spent in London and then “travelling the world”. I look forward to a successful season for our senior men’s teams and may it be enjoyable for all concerned.

Our women’s teams and youth teams also have a challenging season ahead but under the guidance of our new rugby committee and the input of new coaching personnel, I believe success will follow.

The mini section continues to grow and the progress from mini to youth and then senior rugby will give players the skills and experience to play at the highest levels ultimately within CRFC.

Finally CRFC is a family club so please come along, get involved and support your club.

Yours in rugby,

Winston Jebb
