Great victory for our First team today in Leinster League

In a scintillating last ten minutes Clon snatched a victory against a game Tullow RFC in a gripping encounter in Gordon Park. An impeccable kicking display by Chris Jebb in converting three penalties & three tries,  these scored by Karl Jebb, Bruiser and a last gasp try by Dar Dar saw Clon gain four very valuable league points to lift us off the bottom of League 1B. With two league games left the ball is in our court. With Kingo and Karl returning to the squad the team raised its game at this crucial stage of the season. We are  now heading into the final two games, away to North Kildare  (4th March) and the home to Kilkenny on 11th March. So survival in our current league lies in our own hands. Well done to the squad and the coaches and management team in continuing our winning run in League and Provincial Towns Cup.

In other games played today our Seconds put up a solid display against Tullow but were unlucky to lose. Likewise our Womens XV lost our narrowly to Westmanstown by a score of 7-5 in their league game played earlier.

Our U14’s made their way into the Quarter Finals of their cup with a last gasp victory by a score of 15-21. Well done to Murts and his well managed squad.
