Match Report: Clondalkin U14s 52 v 31 Barnhall B

Clondalkin U14s made it three wins out of four with a 52-31 victory over Barnhall B on Friday night. The Luke Swayne captained team have developed well over the course of the season and the eight try victory sets them up nicely going into a big test away to Clane in two weeks time.

The team have made big strides over the last 12 months which has seen them going from being seen as a development team to becoming genuine title challengers. The addition of flyers James Lindopp and Liam Redmond to the back line has added a cutting edge outside a formidable pack where Jake Browne, Jake O’Reilly, Dean Farrell and David Hughes have shown massive improvements in recent months.

Jamie Brady registered his best display yet in Clondalkin colors and the few tips handed down by senior team marksman Rae Conner has seen Jack Brennan have a 75% kicking rate in his last two games.

The game against Clane will be the last fixture in the grading league and the team look to have already qualified for Division 1 where big challenges await in the coming months.
