Clondalkin u15s wrapped up a long season by defying the odds and reaching the Leinster Division One League final against Newbridge RFC at Naas RFC.
Having qualified for the super-eights as lowest seed, the full squad put in an unbelievable effort to make it all the way to the final. On the night, they just came up short but with half a dozen new players this season and several new specialist coaches, the ever-expanding squad has made significant progress and are now well set up for the challenges ahead.
School examinations now loom on the horizon for the lads before a summer fitness programme kicks in and then it won’t be long before we’re back at pre-season. New players are always welcome. Several of the players now well established in the squad had never played rugby before this season but their progress has been nothing short of excellent. So if you know of players who might be interested in ‘giving it a try’, no matter what level of fitness, ability or experience, get in touch. The Clon family is always ready, with open arms. C’mon Clon!
