This is a final reminder and call out for the annual Club charity auction, taking place on Saturday 10th January. All contributions are welcome and the auction will kick off at 5:00pm after the rugby action vs. Dundalk.
For over 30 years CRFC has organised a fundraising event each year to assist a group of society less fortunate that most of us. This has always been a opportunity for club members and friends to contribute to a very worthy cause. The funds raised over the years have primarily been in aid of Don Bosco Teenage Care. Kevin Laide who is know to most members of the club has been our conduit for the distribution of all funds raised over the years and has done an amazing job looking after the various needs that have arisen from these less fortunate teenagers. The success of this venture has seen a number of the persons aided going on to better themselves and obtain 3rd Level qualifications.
This season we plan to have our Charity Auction on Saturday 10th January 2015. The club is hosting Dundalk in important league games that day. We would welcome donations of items to be sold at the auction. It is also an ideal way to recycle duplicated or unwanted Christmas gifts. Please help our Club continue this charitable event by supplying goods and also of course in bidding for the items being auctioned. The auction will take place in the clubhouse at 5.00pm – so come and support this worthy cause.
