Clondalkin RFC Announces Proud New Partnership with Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC)
Clondalkin RFC is incredibly proud to officially announce our new charity partnership with the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre (DRCC). As a community-first club, we believe in supporting organizations that make a profound, tangible difference in people’s lives. DRCC’s unwavering dedication to healing trauma and preventing harm aligns deeply with our club’s values.
For decades, DRCC has been at the forefront of Ireland’s response to sexual violence, offering vital support to survivors while actively campaigning for systemic change and legal reform.
WHERE THE FUNDING GOES
Every fundraising initiative and club event held in aid of DRCC will directly support their essential frontline services. These include:
- Crisis & Support Services: Funding the National 24 Hour Helpline, face-to-face counselling, and vital accompaniment to the Sexual Assault Treatment Unit (SATU) and Garda stations.
- Legal & Justice Guidance: Providing dedicated navigation and support for individuals considering reporting, extending all the way through to court accompaniment and post-verdict care.
- Education & Advocacy: Delivering specialist training for frontline workers and running community awareness campaigns to prevent harm before it starts.

To mark the launch of this partnership, our very first fundraiser is officially live! We are selling a range of exclusive, specially designed Clondalkin RFC x DRCC charity tops featuring the powerful message: “No matter what your story, your voice will be heard.”

Price: €20 per item.
Impact: A minimum donation of €10 per shirt goes directly to DRCC. The more items we sell, the lower our production costs, and the higher that donation percentage goes!

THE MARQUEE EVENT: ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CHARITY AUCTION

While the t-shirt sale kicks things off, our major fundraising focus will culminate in our annual Charity Auction, which takes place directly after the final senior men’s home game before Christmas.
As our marquee fundraising event of the year, its success depends entirely on the incredible generosity of our community. We are officially appealing to members, local businesses, and supporters for donations of high-quality auction items. If you can supply or source items such as sports memorabilia and apparel, gift sets, premium experiences, or vouchers, please reach out to a member of the committee. Let’s work together to make this our biggest auction yet.
BRINGING “WE-CONSENT” TO CLONDALKIN RFC
This partnership isn’t just about raising funds; it’s about shifting culture and driving education. As part of our collaboration, we are pleased to announce that DRCC’s We‑Consent education seminars will be made available directly to our club members.
These seminars are designed to strengthen the understanding and active practice of positive consent in the wider community. We will be sharing details later in the season on how players, coaches, and adult members can register for these invaluable sessions.
