Twelve team participated in this years Golf Classic played yesterday (Friday 12th August) in Beech Park GC. It was relatively dry, blustery day and was a challenging course but enjoyed by all players. This event is vital part on the annual fundraising required to keep our club afloat and we really appreciate the support from all the participants and sponsors. Special thanks to M & G Hygiene who sponsor our main prizes. The winners on the day with a magnificent score of 90 points were the Bank of Ireland, Newlands Cross team (entered by Sinead Mulryan) of Maire O’ Keeffe, Eamon Ryan, Tom Hoban & Paul Weldon. Runners up were the team sponsored by ABS, led by the popular, “quiet” Kerryman, Kevin Laide aided by Martin Delaney, Liam O’ Donovan & Martin Orwell. In third place was the team sponsored by Flexi Equine, made up of players from CRFC, Kev Cullen, Chris Jebb, John Nolan & Paul McDermott.
The club appreciate all the sponsors, players and backrooms guys who helped make this day a success. We look forward to see everybody again next August for our next golf event.
