Who can play? Boys and Girls from the ages of 6 years to 12 years are welcome to participate in mini Rugby in Clondalkin RFC

Our aim is to encourage the playing of rugby in this age group and in doing so we want to promote fun for both players and coaches, to help young boys and girls develop

(a) Physically,
(b) Psychologically &
(c) Socially

whilst recognizing that young people are not miniature adults, and generally try to do their best. PLAYERS FIRST, WINNING SECOND.

When is training? Training takes place on Sunday mornings at 10.30am to 12.00pm (some older kids also train Wednesdays at 6.30pm). All mini’s training is in the club.  Tea and coffee is available for parents in the Clubhouse.

What to bring? Gum shield and boots. You should always bring additional clothing like a tracksuit in case of cold weather – it is easy to take off a layer, but you can’t put one on if you don’t have it with you! Best athletic practices recommends that you bring your own drink (water is fine) and snack (apple or banana fine also) to take immediately after training/matches finish to feed the muscles to aid best recovery and development.

What does it cost? Mini’s and Youth membership costs €50.00 (1 child), €80 (2 children) and a maximum of €100.00 per family (3+ children).

 Youth Rugby in Clondalkin RFC

Who can play? Anyone who wants a challenge and it is never too late to start. For season 2013-4, U17’s will have a date of birth of either 1998 or 1999. U19’s will have a date of birth of 1996 or 1997.

When is training? Training is from 6.30pm to 7.45pm every Tuesday & Thursday in the club. Matches are generally on Saturday mornings. The default kick off time is 11.00am, but is subject to arrangement between the respective teams and also often determined by distance to travel and pitch availability.

What to bring? You must always have gum shield and boots.
